Losing the Weight of the World

A Spiritual Diet
to Nourish the Soul

Jonathan Kramer, Ph.D.
and Diane Dunaway Kramer

Published by Doubleday
1997

In our complex society, it's easy to lose sight of what's truly important. Most of us want to live a more spiritual and enriching life, but it's difficult when our everyday burdens of careers, children and chores weigh us down.

In Losing the Weight of the World Jonathan Kramer and Diane Dunaway Kramer combine the knowledge of modern psychology with eternal principles common to most religions, to explain how we can nourish our soul, live a happier and more fulfilling life by following a ten part "diet." If we learn to taste what's in front of us, life becomes a feast. Whether we're Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Unitarians or followers of no specific religion at all, Losing the Weight of the World shows us how to find love, breathe more healthfully, enjoy our senses, calm our racing thoughts, and experience daily moments of prayer, goodness, self worth and peace of mind.

Losing the Weight of the World is a book that will be passed from hand to hand, from friend to friend. If you're hungry for a more spiritual, meaningful and joyful life, Losing the Weight of the World offers nourishment for the body, mind, heart, and soul.
